I am often asked about the cost of tours, payment methods and the possibility of booking additional services such as transport and entrance tickets.

My tour rates are based on the British Guild of Tourist Guides recommended rates, which are detailed here. My prices are at the lower end of the recommended scale at £240 for a standard half day tour in the morning or afternoon. If two half-day excursions are combined into one day, then the cost will be 380 pounds. The same rate of  380 pounds applies to full-day out-of-town excursions. In the case of non-standard visits or those requiring a great deal of research or preparation, guide costs will be subject to additional fees.

The cost does not depend on the number of people attending; all tours are individually planned, taking into account your specific wishes in terms of time and route. These prices do not include the cost of entrance tickets or transport. With rare exceptions, your qualified Blue Badge guide is admitted free of charge to sites and attractions – we are generally welcome to bring our clients and conduct tours – and so the only entrance fees payable are those for you, our guests.

I am happy, whenever possible, to acquire tickets and book a car or bus for you in advance; payment for these will also need to be made in advance.
